TeleStatus ASP™ is an advanced automated service that can be
accessed via landline telephone, and wireless technologies along with data-capable devices (PDAs) for access to
the Internet based computer screens. The PDA screen was designed for hand held devices and used for fire ground
operations and the command center screen contains the same basic information for stations and dispatch centers.
Status information can be changed by entering a 4 digit code which can be pre-programmed for easy use. This
feature should eliminate some routine radio transmissions and the audit trail could assist with record keeping.

Since cost and simplicity of operations are a key factor for most
organizations TeleStatus ASP™ is an economical user-pay system that requires no trained personnel and will
operate on virtually any device or network with access to the Internet. The plug and play platform is scalable,
customizable, allowing for additional interfaces and upgrades. The Internet based capability of the TeleStatus
ASP™ service allows interoperability and a backup capacity for interagency operations since all agencies, as
long as they have access, can view and update real time status reports. These features are especially important
for small and medium size combined and volunteer agencies especially since it has the ability for a volunteer
response confirmation where real time status information can be critical. The economical user-pay system is
comparable in cost to cellular services and is on a rental basis requiring little initial capital outlays. This
usually allows it to be an expense rather than a budget item.
